EUCALYPTUS OIL
Latin Name: Eucalyptus globulus Eucalyptus possesses many healing properties. In Australia, aborigines prepared a tea from eucalyptus leaves for fevers. Therefore it is often referred to as the "Australian Fever Tree". Eucalyptus Oil was used as an antiseptic on urinary catheters in the 19th century British hospitals. It is also known to be helpful for relieving muscle soreness, colds and other respiratory disorders. Olympian Labs Eucalyptus Oil is obtained by the steam distillation of leaves and is standardized to contain 80% Eucalyptol. Traditionally Eucalyptus Oil has been used as a muscle rub, decongestion aid, antiseptic and as an insect repellent. Warning: For external use only. Do not swallow. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not use on deep or puncture wounds or serious burns. If accidental ingestion occurs do not induce vomiting.
