This results in a reduction in the absorption of starch in foods, so that less starchy carbohydrates are broken down and converted into blood sugar.
These clinically significant results are based on a recent, 8-week, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of 50 subjects conducted at Northridge Hospital Medical Center, UCLA academic affiliate.
In addition, an analyses of two double-blind, placebo-controlled, human pilot trials, showed that starch absorption averaged 66% lower in the group taking Phase 2™. Two safety studies showed Phase 2™ to be safe and non-toxic.
