About Broccoli Sprouts Extract
Broccoli (Brassica oleracea) contains relatively high concentrations of sulforaphane — a naturally-occurring chemical that reduces the risk of developing cancer.
It appears that sulforaphane mobilizes a set of enzymes that neutralize highly reactive cancer-causing chemicals before they can damage DNA and promote cancer.
When rats were fed broccoli sprout extracts and then exposed to the powerful carcinogen dimethylbenzanthracene, they developed fewer tumors than rats not fed the extracts; and those tumors that did grow on treated rats were smaller and developed more slowly.
One tablet of our broccoli sprouts extract provides the equivalent of 128 grams (4.5 ounces) of fresh broccoli.
