Hans Nieper, MD, was a well known innovator of "Active Mineral Transport," the use of specific amino acid
chelators to deliver minerals to specific sites in the body. He identified aspartate and orotate as active mineral transport chelators, providing unprecedented rates of mineral absorption and yielding unique therapeutic benefits.
A third, less well known agent is 2-AEP (2 Aminoethyl Phosphte). Nieper found that 2AEP has an affinity for the outer layer of the cell membrane and acts to maintain cell membrane integrity and inhibit penetration by toxins and microorganisms. He called 2-AEP "Membrane Integrity Factor." 2-AEP is also a neurotransmitter, which plays an important therapeutic role in treating Multiple Sclerosis, Asthma, Diabetes by providing a screen against antibodies, toxins, viruses and peroxide radicals.
In multiple sclerosis Nieper found that a supplement of 2-AEP calcium
strengthened cell membranes, shielding cells against aggression by antibodies. A retrospective study found that over 80% of the MS patients who took 2-AEP reported benefit.
In Asthma it normalizes the function of the alveoli membrane, improving gas exchange in the lungs. In Diabetes, high blood sugar levels result in damage to organs like the eyes, kidneys and circulatory system. 2-AEP strengthens and improves resistance to this damage.
Dr. Nieper reported 2-AEP Calcium
is helpful in the treatment of migraines, high blood pressure and ALS. He suggests that the electromagnetic properties may lower blood pressure by supporting an electromagnetic cushion that separates the red blood cells. It may be helpful in calming nervous excitable people, including kids.
